Prophet Shuayb's leadership of Midianites from "summary" of Stories of the Prophets by Ismāʻīl ibn ʻUmar Ibn Kathīr

Prophet Shuayb was sent by Allah to guide the people of Midian, who had abandoned the teachings of their forefather Ibrahim. He was a noble and upright man who called his people to worship only one God and to treat each other with fairness and justice. Shuayb reminded them of the blessings that Allah had bestowed upon them and urged them to be grateful and obedient. However, the people of Midian rejected Shuayb's message and continued to worship idols and engage in corrupt and unjust practices. Despite facing opposition and ridicule, Shuayb remained steadfast in his mission and continued to preach the message of monotheism and righteousness. As a leader, Shuayb exemplified patience, perseverance, and compassion. He was always willing to listen to the concerns of his people and offer guidance and advice. He sought to resolve disputes and promote harmony among the Midianites, even in the face of adversity. Shuayb's leadership of the Midianites serves as a powerful example of prophethood and guidance. His unwavering commitment to the teachings of Islam and his dedication to helping his people overcome their shortcomings are lessons that continue to resonate with believers today. Through his actions and words, Shuayb demonstrated the qualities of a true leader – one who leads by example, inspires others to do good, and remains steadfast in the face of challenges.
