The Treaty of Hudaybiyyah was a pivotal agreement in the life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). It took place in the sixth year after the migration of the Prophet and his followers to Medina. The Prophet had a dream in which he saw that the Muslims were performing the pilgrimage at the Ka'bah, so he set out with a large group of his followers to fulfill this dream. However, the Quraysh, the tribe controlling Mecca, were not keen on allowing the Muslims to enter the city for pilgrimage. After negotiations, a truce was agreed upon at a place called Hudaybiyyah.
