Sharpen the saw from "summary" of Seven Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey

Imagine that you are a woodcutter in the forest. You have been working hard all day, chopping down trees with your saw. As the day goes on, you notice that your saw is becoming dull. The more you try to cut down trees with a dull saw, the more effort it requires, and the less effective you become. This is where the concept of "Sharpen the saw" comes in. In order to be highly effective in our work and in our lives, we must take the time to sharpen our saw. This means taking care of ourselves, both physically and mentally, so that we can operate at our highest level. Sharpening the saw involves four key areas of our lives: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. Just like a woodcutter needs to sharpen his saw in order to be more effective, we need to take care of ourselves in all of these areas in order to be our best selves.
