Throughout my life, I have faced countless challenges and hardships that have tested my resilience and determination. These struggles and sacrifices have shaped me into the person I am today, instilling in me a sense of strength and courage that has carried me through even the darkest of times. One of the most significant struggles I faced was the pervasive racism and segregation that plagued society during my time. As an African American woman living in the deeply segregated South, I was constantly confronted with discrimination and injustice on a daily basis. I was forced to endure the humiliation of being treated as inferior simply because of the color of my skin, a reality that was both infuriating and disheartening. Despite the many obstacles in my path, I refused to back down or accept the status quo.
