After my stand on the bus that day, I knew that I had to keep fighting for what was right. I couldn't just sit back and let things stay the same. I had to continue to speak out against injustice and inequality. This was not just a one-time act of defiance; it was a commitment to a lifetime of activism. I joined the Montgomery Improvement Association and worked alongside other dedicated individuals like Martin Luther King Jr. We organized boycotts, protests, and marches to demand equal rights for African Americans. We faced violence, intimidation, and threats, but we never wavered in our determination to bring about change. Even after the Montgomery Bus Boycott ended and segregation on buses was declared unconstitutional, I didn't stop fighting.
