Force causes resistance and stagnation from "summary" of Power vs. Force by David R. Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D.

When we try to force something to happen, we are met with resistance. This resistance creates stagnation in our lives, preventing us from moving forward and achieving our goals. Force is met with an equal and opposite reaction - in this case, resistance. It is a natural response to being pushed or controlled. When we try to force our will upon others or situations, we are met with resistance because we are not in alignment with the natural flow of life. This resistance causes us to become stuck, unable to move forward. Rather than using force to try to control outcomes, we must instead tap into a higher power - that of true inner power. Inner power is not about controlling or manipulating, but about surrendering to the flow of life and allowing things to unfold naturally.
