One of the most important lessons I learned as a long-distance runner is that mental strength is just as crucial as physical strength. When you're out there on the road, pushing your body to its limits, it's easy to give in to doubt and fear. But it's mental toughness that separates the champions from the rest. During my first marathon, I faced numerous physical challenges – fatigue, blisters, muscle cramps. But it was my mental strength that kept me going. I had to constantly remind myself of my goal, of the countless hours of training I had put in, of the belief that I could push through the pain.
