Each person must find their own meaning in life from "summary" of Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor Emil Frankl
In the depths of despair and suffering in the concentration camps, I observed that those who were able to find a sense of purpose and meaning in their lives were the ones most likely to survive. It was not the physically strongest or the most cunning who endured, but rather those who had a reason to live beyond mere survival. This realization led me to understand that each person must find their own meaning in life, for it is this search for meaning that sustains us even in the face of unimaginable suffering. I have come to believe that the quest for meaning is a fundamental human drive, one that transcends the basic instincts for survival and pleasure. It is this search for meaning that gives our lives purpose and direction, allowing us to endure even the most severe trials and tribulations. When we have a clear sense of purpose, we are able to find hope and resilience in the face of adversity. Each individual must embark on their own journey to discover what gives their life meaning. This can be found in the pursuit of love, in the creation of art, in the service to others, or in the pursuit of knowledge. Whatever form it takes, the search for meaning is a deeply personal and subjective endeavor that requires introspection and self-reflection. I have found that those who are able to find meaning in their lives are better equipped to cope with the challenges and hardships that life inevitably presents. They are able to find a sense of peace and fulfillment that transcends the momentary pleasures and pains of everyday existence. It is this sense of purpose that allows us to live with dignity and integrity, even in the face of overwhelming adversity.- Each person must find their own meaning in life in order to live a fulfilling and meaningful existence. It is through this search for meaning that we are able to transcend our circumstances and find purpose in even the most difficult of circumstances. In the end, it is this quest for meaning that defines who we are and gives our lives significance.
