Validation is a common human desire - to seek approval and recognition from others. We often look for external validation to feel good about ourselves, to confirm our worth and value. However, this constant need for validation can be detrimental to our well-being. It can lead to a cycle of seeking approval from others, basing our self-worth on their opinions, and feeling inadequate when we don't receive the validation we crave. When we let go of the need for validation, we free ourselves from the burden of seeking approval from others. We learn to validate ourselves internally, to recognize our own worth and value independent of external opinions.
