Marriage journeys have highs and lows from "summary" of I Do Again by Cheryl Scruggs,Jeff Scruggs

Marriage is a journey filled with twists and turns, peaks and valleys. It is not a straight path but a winding road that can lead to unexpected places. The highs are exhilarating, moments of pure joy and connection that make you feel like you are on top of the world. These are the moments that remind you why you fell in love in the first place, why you made the commitment to spend your life together. But along with the highs come the lows. These are the moments that test your patience, your understanding, and your commitment to each other. They are the challenges that make you question whether you have what it takes to make it through the tough times. The lows can be painful, heartbreaking, and can shake the very foundation of your marriage. In our own marriage journey, we have experienced both the highs and lows. We have felt the rush of love and passion, the deep connection that comes from truly knowing and understanding each other. But we have also faced challenges that seemed insurmountable, moments when we wondered if we would ever find our way back to each other. What we have learned is that the highs and lows are not separate entities but are intertwined, each one giving meaning and depth to the other. The highs are made sweeter by the knowledge that we have weathered the storms together, that our love has stood the test of time. And the lows are made bearable by the hope that comes from knowing that we have the strength and resilience to overcome whatever comes our way. Our marriage journey has taught us that it is not about avoiding the lows or only seeking out the highs. It is about embracing the full spectrum of experiences that come with being in a committed relationship. It is about holding on tight during the tough times and celebrating with abandon during the good times. It is about choosing each other every day, no matter what life throws our way.
