Summary of I Do Again

I Do Again is the story of Marlowe Jones, a woman on a mission to reinvent herself. She's been in a relationship with a woman named Lila for several years, and their romance is comfortable but uneventful. One night, a conversation with a stranger leads Marlowe to make some bold decisions and take a break from her comfortable, safe life. She sets off to complete a list of goals she set for herself as a college student, including visiting distant family, taking a road trip, learning a new language, and volunteering in Africa. Along the way, Marlowe is forced to confront secrets from her past and challenge herself in ways she never imagined. She must battle her fears, find strength in her vulnerabilities, and learn to love herself and those around her again.
