In our modern society, we have been conditioned to believe that more is always better. We are constantly bombarded with messages telling us that we need to acquire more things in order to be happy. We are convinced that material possessions and wealth are the keys to a fulfilling life. However, this obsession with consumption has led to a myriad of problems, both personal and societal. As I explore in "Deep Economy," the pursuit of endless growth and consumption has not brought us the happiness and fulfillment we were promised. Instead, it has left us feeling empty and disconnected from what truly matters. We have become slaves to our possessions, constantly striving for more in a never-ending cycle of dissatisfaction.
