Vulnerability invites us to step into our true selves from "summary" of Daring Greatly by Brene Brown
Vulnerability is often seen as weakness, something to be avoided at all costs. However, in reality, vulnerability is the birthplace of love, belonging, joy, courage, empathy, and creativity. It is the core of all emotions and feelings. When we allow ourselves to be vulnerable, we are allowing ourselves to truly connect with others and with our own selves. It is through vulnerability that we are able to step into our true selves, to show up as we are, without pretenses or masks. Stepping into our true selves requires us to embrace vulnerability and all that comes with it. It means being willing to be seen, to be truly seen, with all our imperfections and flaws. It means being willing to take risks, to put ourselves out there, even when it feels uncomfortable or scary. It means being willing to be open and honest, to speak our truth, even when it makes us feel exposed and vulnerable. When we embrace vulnerability, we are able to cultivate a sense of belonging and connection with others. We are able to build authentic relationships based on trust and empathy. We are able to tap into our creativity and courage, to share our gifts and talents with the world. We are able to live wholeheartedly, with a sense of purpose and meaning. It is only when we are willing to be vulnerable that we are able to truly step into our true selves. It is only when we are willing to show up authentically, with courage and compassion, that we are able to live a life of joy and fulfillment. So, let us embrace vulnerability, let us allow ourselves to be seen, to be truly seen, for it is through vulnerability that we are able to step into our true selves and live a life of authenticity and purpose.Similar Posts
