Fear is the opposite of love from "summary" of Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsch

Fear is not the opposite of love. Fear is the absence of love. Where love is, fear cannot be. Fear is the dark space where love is not present. Love fills all the empty spaces and leaves no room for fear to creep in. When you are in a state of love, there is no room for fear. Love is the light that dispels the darkness of fear. It is the antidote to fear. Where there is love, there is no room for fear to take hold. Love is the most powerful force in the universe, and fear cannot stand in its presence. When you are in a state of love, you are in alignment with your true nature. You are connected to the source of all creation, which is love. Fear is a distortion of this truth. It is a deviation from the path of love. When you allow fear to take hold, you are moving away from love. Fear is a product of the ego. It is a construct of the mind that seeks to separate us from each other and from the source of all creation. Love, on the other hand, is the essence of who we are. It is our true nature. When we are in a state of love, we are in alignment with our true selves. To overcome fear, we must cultivate love. We must choose love over fear in every moment. We must remember that fear is not real. It is a product of the mind. Love is real. It is the essence of who we are. When we choose love, we are aligning ourselves with our true nature. Love is the most powerful force in the universe. It has the power to heal all wounds, to overcome all obstacles, and to bring us back into alignment with our true selves. When we choose love over fear, we are choosing to live in alignment with our true nature. We are choosing to live in love.
