Language is one of the most obvious barriers to effective communication in a multicultural business setting. Different languages have different words, phrases, and idioms that can be easily misunderstood or misinterpreted by individuals who are not familiar with them. Moreover, the use of jargon, slang, or technical terms can further complicate communication between people from different cultural backgrounds.
