Acceptance is the key to finding peace. This is a fundamental truth that is often overlooked in our search for happiness. We often believe that if we can just change our circumstances or control our external environment, then we will finally be at peace. But this is a mistaken belief. Peace does not come from trying to control the world around us. It comes from accepting the world as it is, without judgment or resistance. This is not to say that we should passively accept injustice or suffering. Rather, it means that we should accept the reality of the present moment, whatever it may be. When we learn to accept things as they are, we stop struggling against reality. We stop wasting our energy on trying to change things that are beyond our control.
