Mindfulness is the practice of being present in the moment. When you're mindful, you're fully engaged in whatever you're doing, whether it's taking a walk, washing dishes, or having a conversation with a friend. You're not lost in thought about the past or the future, but are aware of what's happening right now. Being present in the moment sounds simple, but it's actually quite challenging. Our minds have a tendency to wander, jumping from one thought to another without our control.
