Learning to let go of past traumas from "summary" of Breaking Night by Liz Murray
As I reflect on the challenges I faced in my life, I realize that one of the most difficult tasks I had to undertake was learning to let go of past traumas. These experiences weighed heavily on my mind and heart, holding me back from moving forward and living a fulfilling life. I carried the burden of my past with me everywhere I went, allowing it to shape my thoughts and actions. However, as I journeyed through my own process of healing and self-discovery, I began to understand the importance of releasing these past traumas. Holding onto them only served to keep me stuck in a cycle of pain and suffering, preventing me from embracing the present moment and creating a brighter future for myself. It was not an easy task to let go of these deeply ingrained wounds. They had become a part of my identity, shaping the way I viewed myself and the world around me. But I came to realize that holding onto them only perpetuated a cycle of negativity and self-destruction.
