Journey to America to spread teachings from "summary" of Autobiography of a Yogi (Hungarian) by Paramahansa Yogananda
In the early 1920s, my guru, Sri Yukteswar, perceived that it was time for me to carry the message of Kriya Yoga to the West. He had been preparing me for this mission for years, nurturing my spiritual growth and guiding me along the path of self-realization. As I embarked on my journey to America, I felt a deep sense of purpose and determination. I knew that I had a sacred duty to fulfill – to share the ancient teachings of the East with the people of the West. Arriving in America, I faced many challenges and obstacles. The materialistic mindset of the Western world posed a stark contrast to the spiritual values I had been raised with in India. However, I was undeterred in my mission. I knew that the transformative power of Kriya Yoga had the potential to bring about profound spiritual awakening in the lives of those who were open to receiving it. As I traveled across America, I encountered people from all walks of life – from humble seekers to renowned scholars. I shared the teachings of Kriya Yoga with anyone who was willing to listen, knowing that the ancient wisdom contained within these practices had the power to awaken the divine spark within each individual. I witnessed firsthand the profound impact that these teachings had on those who embraced them wholeheartedly. Through lectures, classes, and personal guidance, I sought to spread the message of self-realization and inner awakening. I encouraged my students to cultivate a daily practice of meditation and to strive for spiritual growth in all aspects of their lives. I emphasized the importance of living in harmony with the divine will and surrendering to the higher power that guides us all. Despite the challenges and setbacks I faced along the way, I remained steadfast in my commitment to sharing the teachings of Kriya Yoga with the Western world. I knew that this was my calling, my dharma. And as I saw the transformative power of these teachings unfold in the lives of my students, I knew that my journey to America was not in vain. It was a sacred mission, a divine purpose that had been entrusted to me by my guru.Similar Posts
