Practice patience and compassion with yourself from "summary" of A New Way for Mothers by Louise Webster
It is so important for us as mothers to remember to treat ourselves with the same kindness and understanding that we show to others. We often put so much pressure on ourselves to be perfect, to do everything right, to always be in control. But the truth is, none of us are perfect. We all make mistakes, we all have bad days, we all have moments of weakness. And that's okay. It's okay to not be okay sometimes. It's okay to feel overwhelmed, to feel tired, to feel like you're not doing enough. In those moments, what we need most is not criticism or judgement, but patience and compassion. We need to be gentle with ourselves, to give ourselves the same love and understanding that we give to our children. We need to remind ourselves that we are doing the best we can, that we are worthy of love and forgiveness, that we are allowed to make mistakes and learn from them. So next time you find yourself being hard on yourself, next time you feel like you're not measuring up, next time you feel like you're failing as a mother, take a step back. Take a deep breath. And remind yourself that you are doing great. Remind yourself that it's okay to not have all the answers, to not have it all together. Remind yourself that you are human, that you are allowed to be imperfect. And most importantly, remind yourself that you are deserving of love, from others and from yourself. Practice patience and compassion with yourself.Similar Posts
