Release the need for approval from others from "summary" of You Can Heal Your Life / Trade by Louise Hay
When we constantly seek approval from others, we are essentially giving away our power. We are allowing other people to dictate how we should feel about ourselves, which can be detrimental to our self-esteem and confidence. This need for approval can stem from a lack of self-love and self-acceptance. We may believe that we are not good enough as we are, and therefore seek validation from others to feel worthy. Releasing the need for approval from others means letting go of the belief that we need external validation to feel good about ourselves. It means recognizing our own worth and value, independent of what others think or say about us. When we release this need, we free ourselves from the shackles of seeking validation from others and empower ourselves to define our own self-worth. By releasing the need for approval from others, we can cultivate a deeper sense of self-acceptance and self-love. We can recognize that we are inherently worthy and deserving of love and respect, regardless of what others may think or say. This shift in mindset allows us to live authentically and confidently, knowing that we are enough just as we are. When we release the need for approval from others, we also open ourselves up to greater freedom and authenticity in our relationships. We no longer feel the need to conform to others' expectations or seek their validation. Instead, we can show up as our true selves, without fear of judgment or rejection. This authenticity can deepen our connections with others and foster more meaningful and fulfilling relationships.- Releasing the need for approval from others is a powerful act of self-love and empowerment. It allows us to reclaim our power and define our own worth on our own terms. By letting go of the need for external validation, we can cultivate a deep sense of self-acceptance and confidence that radiates from within. This shift in mindset can transform how we show up in the world and lead to greater fulfillment and joy in our lives.
