Yoga teaches us to let go of ego from "summary" of Yoga by Osho

In the practice of yoga, one of the most important lessons we learn is the art of letting go of ego. Ego is the sense of self-importance that often drives our thoughts, actions, and interactions with others. It is the voice in our heads that constantly seeks validation and recognition from the outside world. However, yoga teaches us that true fulfillment and happiness come from within, not from external sources. By letting go of ego, we are able to cultivate a sense of humility and self-awareness that allows us to connect more deeply with ourselves and others. When we release the need to constantly prove ourselves to others, we free ourselves from the constraints of our own limiting beliefs and insecurities. We are able to see the world with greater clarity and compassion, and to approach life with a sense of openness and acceptance. In the practice of yoga, we are encouraged to let go of attachment to outcomes and expectations. Instead of striving for perfection or seeking approval from others, we learn to simply be present in the moment and to accept things as they are. This allows us to cultivate a sense of inner peace and contentment that is not dependent on external circumstances. Letting go of ego also allows us to release negative emotions such as jealousy, anger, and resentment. When we are no longer fixated on our own desires and insecurities, we are able to approach challenges and conflicts with a sense of equanimity and grace. We are able to see the bigger picture and to respond to situations with wisdom and clarity, rather than reacting impulsively out of fear or defensiveness.
