Healing takes time and effort from "summary" of Wild (Oprah's Book Club 2.0 Digital Edition) by Cheryl Strayed
Healing takes time and effort. It's not something that happens overnight, or with the snap of your fingers. It requires a commitment to yourself, a dedication to doing the hard work of facing your pain and moving through it. In my own journey, I found that healing was a process that unfolded slowly, with each step forward met by moments of setback and struggle. There were days when I felt like I was making progress, only to find myself back at square one the next. But I learned that healing is not a linear path - it's a winding road that twists and turns, sometimes taking you to unexpected places. It's a journey that requires patience and perseverance, a willingness to keep moving forward even when the way seems unclear. I had to confront my past, my mistakes, my regrets. I had to face the pain that I had buried deep inside, the wounds that had festered and grown over time. It was hard, it was painful, but it was necessary. I had to do the work of healing, of tending to my wounds and allowing them to heal. I had to be gentle with myself, to give myself the time and space to heal at my own pace. Healing is not a one-size-fits-all process. What works for one person may not work for another. It's a deeply personal journey, one that requires you to listen to yourself, to be attuned to your own needs and desires. It's about finding what works for you, what helps you to move through your pain and come out the other side stronger and more whole. So, if you're struggling to heal, if you're feeling stuck or lost or overwhelmed, remember this: healing takes time and effort. It's not easy, it's not quick, but it is possible. With dedication and self-compassion, you can move through your pain and come out the other side healed and whole.Similar Posts
