Find strength in vulnerability from "summary" of Untamed by Glennon Doyle

To be human is to be vulnerable. Vulnerability is not a weakness, but a sign of strength. It takes courage to show our weaknesses, to reveal our true selves to the world. When we embrace our vulnerability, we become more authentic, more real. We connect with others on a deeper level because we are no longer hiding behind a facade. When we allow ourselves to be vulnerable, we open ourselves up to the possibility of pain and hurt. But we also open ourselves up to love, connection, and growth. Vulnerability is the birthplace of creativity, joy, and empathy. It is where we find our true power and strength. In a world that values perfection and strength above all else, it can be scary to show our vulnerabilities. We are taught to hide our flaws, to put on a brave face no matter what. But when we pretend to be strong all the time, we deny ourselves the opportunity to truly connect with others. Embracing vulnerability is not easy. It requires us to let go of our fears and insecurities, to be open and honest with ourselves and others. It means accepting that we are not perfect, that we will make mistakes, and that we will sometimes fail. But it also means recognizing that our vulnerabilities are what make us human, what make us unique, what make us beautiful. When we find strength in vulnerability, we become more compassionate, more understanding, more empathetic. We learn to accept ourselves for who we are, flaws and all. We create a space where others feel safe to be vulnerable as well. And in that space, we find love, connection, and healing.
