The natural cycle of life and death is an unfathomable mystery that has puzzled humans for centuries. We often fear death as the ultimate end, something to be avoided at all costs. However, Zen teachings invite us to embrace this cycle with trust and surrender, recognizing that death is as much a part of life as birth. In Zen, there is a deep understanding that life and death are interconnected, like two sides of the same coin. Just as the seasons change and the tides ebb and flow, so too do our lives move through cycles of growth, decay, and renewal.
