Human beings are inherently social creatures, constantly evaluating themselves against others. This tendency shapes not only how success is perceived but also how individuals derive their self-worth. When one compares achievements with peers, it becomes a lens through which personal accomplishments are filtered. Success is often measured not in absolute terms but in relation to what others achieve. A promotion at work may feel less significant if a colleague receives an even greater accolade on the same day.
