Live as if your time is limited from "summary" of The Way of the Superior Man by David Deida

Imagine you are going to die in a year. How would you live differently? Would you waste time on petty arguments or meaningless activities? Would you hold back your love, your gifts, your truth? Would you procrastinate on your purpose or passion? Probably not. When we live as if our time is limited, we prioritize what truly matters. We let go of trivial concerns and focus on what brings us joy, fulfillment, and connection. By embracing the reality of death, we are reminded of the preciousness of life. We become more present, more grateful, more alive. We no longer take our time for granted, but instead savor each moment as a gift. We are more willing to take risks, to step outside our comfort zone, to make the most of every opportunity. We understand that we have a limited number of days on this earth, and we want to make them count. Living as if our time is limited also helps us to let go of fear and resistance. When we recognize that we won't be here forever, we are less afraid of failure, rejection, or criticism. We are more willing to be vulnerable, to be authentic, to be ourselves. We understand that life is short, and we don't have time to waste on pretending to be someone we're not. We embrace our true nature, our deepest desires, our highest potential. This concept challenges us to live with urgency, with passion, with purpose. It invites us to step into our greatness, to embody our fullest expression, to shine our brightest light. It calls us to live in alignment with our values, our vision, our calling. It encourages us to make a difference, to leave a legacy, to inspire others. It reminds us that we are here for a reason, and we have a limited time to fulfill our mission. So, how will you choose to live today? Will you continue to play small, to hold back, to settle for mediocrity? Or will you rise to the occasion, seize the day, and live as if your time is limited? The choice is yours. And the clock is ticking.
