Find freedom in giving and receiving fully from "summary" of The Way of the Superior Man by David Deida
When you are giving fully, you are not thinking about what you can get in return. Your focus is solely on the act of giving, without any attachment to the outcome. This kind of giving is a powerful expression of your own freedom. Similarly, when you receive fully, you are not holding back. You are open to receiving whatever is being offered to you, without resistance or hesitation. You are fully present in the moment, allowing yourself to be nourished by the act of receiving. To receive fully is to be vulnerable, to be open, to be willing to accept whatever comes your way. It is a powerful expression of your own openness and receptivity. When you give and receive fully, you are in a state of flow. You are fully engaged in the present moment, fully connected to yourself and to others. This state of flow is where true freedom lies. It is where you are most alive, most present, most connected. In this state of flow, you are not bound by expectations or limitations. You are free to give and receive fully, without holding back. In this state of freedom, you are truly living in alignment with your highest self.
