Time traveler rescues Weena, an Eloi, from drowning from "summary" of The Time Machine by H. G. Wells
The Time Traveler found himself in a strange world where the Eloi lived above ground and the Morlocks resided below. He soon noticed that the Eloi were frail and childlike, lacking curiosity and intelligence. Among them was a young Eloi named Weena, who took a liking to the Time Traveler and followed him around.
One day, while exploring the area near a river, the Time Traveler and Weena encountered a group of Morlocks. In the ensuing chaos, Weena fell into the river and began to drown. Without hesitation, the Time Traveler jumped in to save her, pulling her to safety and reviving her on the riverbank.
Weena clung to the Time Traveler in gratitude, her eyes reflecting a mixture of fear and adoration. The Time Traveler felt a sense of responsibility towards her, realizing that she was vulnerable in this world where the Eloi seemed to be at the mercy of the Morlocks.
As they continued their journey together, the Time Traveler grew fond of Weena and saw her as a symbol of innocence amidst the darkness of the future world. He vowed to protect her and ensure her safety, even as he grappled with the harsh realities of the society they found themselves in.
The bond between the Time Traveler and Weena deepened as they faced more challenges and dangers in the strange world. She became his companion and confidante, a reminder of the humanity that still existed in a world that seemed to have lost its way. Through their relationship, the Time Traveler found a sense of purpose and connection in a time where everything seemed bleak and uncertain.
