Summary of The Time Machine

The Time Machine is a science fiction novel by H. G. Wells, first published in 1895. The novel follows an unnamed time traveler as he visits the distant future to discover a world in which human evolution has taken a drastically different path. In the year 802,701, he discovers a race of human-like creatures called the Eloi who are simple and childlike. He also finds the Morlocks, a race of brutish creature living in a subterranean world. The time traveler must find a way to get back to his own time while learning more about the two races and the world they inhabit.
