Facing discrimination from "summary" of The Story of My Life by Helen Keller

When I reflect on my life, I cannot help but acknowledge the discrimination I have faced. It is a reality that has been woven into the fabric of my existence, shaping my experiences and influencing the way in which I interact with the world around me. From a young age, I was acutely aware of the limitations that society placed upon me because of my disabilities. I was often treated differently, excluded from certain opportunities, and underestimated because of my inability to see or hear. One of the most challenging aspects of facing discrimination was the way in which it affected my sense of self-worth. It is difficult to maintain a positive self-image when those around you constantly remind you of your supposed shortcomings.
