In our hyper-connected, 24/7 society, sleep has become a luxury rather than a necessity. We glorify those who boast about functioning on little to no sleep, as if it's a badge of honor. We praise those who burn the midnight oil and sacrifice their rest for work or social obligations. But what we fail to realize is that this sleep deprivation culture is doing more harm than good. The truth is, our bodies need sleep to function properly. It is during this time of rest that our brains consolidate memories, repair tissues, and regulate our emotions.
