In contrast, a leader who frowns, furrows their brow, or looks tense may be perceived as insecure or unsure of themselves. It's essential for leaders to be mindful of how their nonverbal cues are being perceived by others, as these cues can greatly impact their effectiveness as a leader. By paying attention to their body language, tone of voice, and facial expressions, leaders can project confidence and inspire trust in those they lead. Being aware of how nonverbal cues can influence perceptions of confidence or insecurity is crucial for leaders who want to effectively communicate their message and inspire confidence in their teams.
