Leaders who fail to recognize the power of their nonverbal signals risk sending unintended messages that can undermine their effectiveness. Every gesture, facial expression, posture, and tone of voice communicates something to those around them. These nonverbal cues can either enhance or detract from a leader's verbal message, affecting how they are perceived by others.
