Accept yourself as you are, flaws and all from "summary" of The Self-Love Experiment by Shannon Kaiser

To truly love ourselves, we must accept ourselves as we are, flaws and all. This means embracing every part of who we are, both our strengths and our weaknesses. It means acknowledging our imperfections and loving ourselves anyway. When we accept ourselves fully, we are able to let go of the need for external validation. We no longer seek approval or affirmation from others because we have learned to validate ourselves. We recognize our worth and value as individuals, independent of what others may think of us. Accepting ourselves as we are also means letting go of the need to be perfect. Perfection is an unattainable ideal that only leads to feelings of inadequacy and self-doubt. When we embrace our flaws, we are able to see them as part of what makes us unique and beautiful. By accepting ourselves fully, we are able to cultivate self-love and compassion. We treat ourselves with the same kindness and understanding that we would offer to a dear friend. We are patient and gentle with ourselves, especially in times of struggle or difficulty. Accepting ourselves as we are is a radical act of self-love. It requires courage and vulnerability to embrace our imperfections and vulnerabilities. But in doing so, we open ourselves up to a deep sense of peace and contentment. We no longer need to hide or pretend to be someone we are not. Instead, we can show up authentically and unapologetically as ourselves.
