The periodic table also reveals the periodicity of certain properties, such as atomic radius, ionization energy, and electronegativity. Elements in the same group generally exhibit a regular change in these properties as you move from top to bottom, reflecting the structure of their electron configurations. This periodic variation allows us to make educated guesses about an element's characteristics based on its position in the table.
