We are able to learn a great deal about the early universe by studying the cosmic microwave background radiation. This faint glow, which permeates the entire cosmos, is the most ancient light that we can observe. It dates back to just a few hundred thousand years after the Big Bang. By analyzing this radiation, scientists are able to gain insights into what the universe was like in its infancy. The cosmic microwave background provides us with valuable clues about the conditions that existed in the early universe.
