Renewal of commitment from "summary" of The Lover's Dictionary by David Levithan
We need to talk. About what? About us. I thought we were okay. We are. But we could be better. Better how? I think we need to renew our commitment to each other. What do you mean? I mean we need to reaffirm our love and dedication to one another. How do we do that? We can start by communicating more openly and honestly. I thought we were already good at that. We are, but there's always room for improvement. Okay, I'm willing to try. Good. That's all I ask. I just want us to be the best we can be. I want that too. So let's make a conscious effort to renew our commitment to each other every day. I like the sound of that. Me too. I think it will strengthen our relationship and bring us closer together. I believe it will too. I'm excited to see where this renewed commitment takes us. I am too. Let's do this.
