He would say he wants to be with me forever, but he doesn't even want to be with me for an hour. He wants me when it's easy, but he doesn't want to fight for me when it's hard. He can't commit to me, not because he doesn't love me, but because he's afraid of what commitment means. He's scared of being tied down, of losing his freedom, of being trapped in a relationship. He sees commitment as a burden, as a prison, as a death sentence. He thinks that if he commits to me, he'll lose himself, that he'll no longer be able to do what he wants, when he wants.
