Trusting intuition over data from "summary" of The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood

Trusting intuition over data is a concept that goes against everything I've ever believed in. As a scientist, I've always prided myself on making decisions based on cold, hard facts. But when it comes to matters of the heart, data can only take you so far. There's a certain magic in following your gut, in letting your heart lead the way. It's a leap of faith, a willingness to trust in something intangible. And yet, when I met Olive Smith, everything changed. She challenged my belief in the power of data, in the certainty of numbers. Olive was a force of nature, a whirlwind of chaos and passion. She didn't fit neatly into any of my carefully constructed data sets. And yet, there was something about her that drew me in, that made me want to throw caution to the wind and trust in the unknown. I found myself torn between the comfort of data and the uncertainty of intuition. But as I spent more time with Olive, I began to see the beauty in trusting in something beyond the numbers. Love, it seemed, was not something that could be quantified or measured. It was a feeling, a connection that defied logic and reason. In the end, I realized that sometimes you have to let go of the safety of data and take a chance on the unknown. Sometimes, the heart knows what the mind cannot see. And sometimes, trusting in intuition over data can lead you to the most unexpected and beautiful places.
