Instead of labeling emotions as negative or positive, it is important to recognize that each emotion serves a unique purpose in our lives. Anger, for example, can be a powerful force that protects us from harm and injustice. It alerts us to when our boundaries have been crossed and motivates us to take action to protect ourselves. In this way, anger is not something to be suppressed or ignored, but rather understood and utilized for its intended purpose. Sadness, on the other hand, allows us to process loss and release grief.
