In dreams, the unconscious mind is free to express these forbidden wishes in a safe and unguarded manner, without fear of judgment or consequence. This is why dreams can sometimes take on a bizarre or fantastical quality, as the unconscious mind seeks to express its deepest desires in a way that is both satisfying and safe. By examining the symbols and imagery present in a dream, one can begin to unravel the underlying wish that the dream is attempting to fulfill. This process requires a careful and nuanced approach, as dreams are often complex and multifaceted in their meanings.
