Tracking is ubiquitous from "summary" of The Inevitable by Kevin Kelly

Tracking is now a part of our everyday lives. The act of monitoring our movements, activities, and preferences is so ingrained in our society that we often don't even realize it's happening. Companies track our online behavior to better target us with ads, while fitness trackers keep tabs on our steps and heart rates. We willingly share our location with friends and family through social media apps, and even our smartphones track our every move. The ubiquity of tracking is a natural evolution of our increasingly connected world. As technology advances, so too does our ability to monitor and analyze data. This data is then used to improve products, services, and even our own lives. We benefit from personalized recommendations on shopping websites and custom workout plans based on our fitness data. While some may be wary of the implications of pervasive tracking, it is important to remember that it is not inherently good or bad. It is simply a tool that can be used for both positive and negative purposes. The key is to be mindful of how our data is being used and to take steps to protect our privacy when necessary.
  1. Tracking is a reflection of the digital age in which we live. It is a natural consequence of our desire for convenience, personalization, and efficiency. As technology continues to advance, tracking will only become more prevalent. It is up to us to navigate this new reality with awareness and caution.
