Gratitude is a cornerstone of loving relationships from "summary" of The Four Noble Truths of Love by Susan Piver

Gratitude is like the sun. We can't live without it. And yet, how often do we take it for granted? We forget to appreciate the people in our lives who bring us joy, who support us, who love us unconditionally. We forget to say thank you for the little things - a smile, a kind word, a helping hand. But when we cultivate gratitude in our relationships, something magical happens. We start to see the world in a different light. We start to see the beauty in everyday moments, the goodness in others, the abundance in our lives. Gratitude is a practice. It's something we have to work at every day. We have to train our minds to focus on the positive, to look for the silver lining, to say thank you even when it's hard. But when we do, our relationships thrive. We become more loving, more kind, more generous. We become the kind of person others want to be around. We become the kind of partner others want to have. Gratitude is contagious. When we express our appreciation for others, they feel seen, they feel heard, they feel valued. And in return, they are more likely to express gratitude to us. It's a beautiful cycle of giving and receiving, of love and appreciation. Gratitude is a choice. We can choose to focus on what's missing in our relationships, on what's lacking in our partners, on what's wrong with the world. Or we can choose to focus on what's good, what's right, what's worth celebrating. When we choose gratitude, we choose love. We choose connection. We choose happiness. And isn't that what we all want in the end? To love and be loved, to connect with others, to be happy. Gratitude is the key that unlocks the door to all of that. So let's open our hearts, let's open our minds, let's open our arms to the power of gratitude. Let's let it in and watch as our relationships blossom and grow.
