It suggests that there are right answers and wrong answers, that there are definite paths to follow and definite outcomes to expect. In seeking certainty, we are often drawn towards rigid belief systems and dogmatic ideologies that provide us with a sense of security, but ultimately restrict our ability to think critically and engage with the complexities of the world in a meaningful way.
