This concept of joy as an ongoing process challenges our societal conditioning that tells us we must constantly strive for happiness as if it were a destination to be reached. We are often led to believe that if we just achieve certain goals, acquire certain possessions, or reach certain milestones, then we will finally be happy and content. But this is a fallacy.
