They help each other from "summary" of The Bird by Nicholas Allan

In the story, the bird and the bear form an unlikely friendship. The bird is small and fragile, while the bear is large and strong. Despite their differences, they find ways to support each other. When the bird is tired from flying, the bear carries him on his back. In return, the bird sings songs to keep the bear company as they journey through the forest. The bird and the bear understand that they have different strengths and weaknesses. They do not compete with each other, but instead, work together to overcome obstacles. When the bear needs help reaching berries high up in the trees, the bird uses his wings to give him a boost. And when the bird is in danger from a hungry fox, the bear uses his size to scare the predator away. Through their actions, the bird and the bear show the importance of cooperation and collaboration. They demonstrate that by helping each other, they can achieve more than they ever could alone. Their friendship is built on trust, respect, and a shared goal of looking out for one another. As they continue their journey together, the bird and the bear face new challenges. But no matter what obstacles come their way, they know that they can rely on each other for support. And in the end, it is this bond of friendship that helps them overcome any difficulties and reach their destination.
