Attaining ultimate bliss through selflessness from "summary" of The Bhagwat Gita by R. R. Varma

The Bhagwat Gita teaches us that true happiness can be attained through selflessness. When we let go of our ego and desires, we are able to connect with something greater than ourselves. This connection brings us a sense of peace and fulfillment that cannot be achieved through material possessions or selfish pursuits. By focusing on the needs of others rather than our own, we are able to cultivate a sense of compassion and empathy. This shift in perspective allows us to see the interconnectedness of all beings and understand that we are not separate from the world around us. Through selfless actions, we are able to make a positive impact on the lives of others and contribute to the greater good. Selflessness also helps us break free from the cycle of attachment and desire that often leads to suffering. When we let go of our attachment to material possessions and worldly pleasures, we are able to find true contentment within ourselves. This inner peace is the key to lasting happiness and fulfillment. In practicing selflessness, we are able to transcend our own limitations and expand our sense of self. By putting the needs of others before our own, we are able to tap into a deeper sense of purpose and meaning in our lives. This connection with something greater than ourselves allows us to experience a sense of bliss that is beyond words.
