Childhood experiences shaped my spiritual journey from "summary" of The Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramhansa Yogananda

As a young boy growing up in India, I was surrounded by a deep sense of spirituality that permeated every aspect of my life. My parents were devout believers in the teachings of our religion, and they instilled in me a reverence for the divine that would shape my spiritual journey for years to come. From a young age, I was exposed to the rituals and practices of our faith, and I took to them with a sense of wonder and awe that was beyond my years. One of my earliest memories is of sitting with my mother in our small family shrine, watching as she lit incense and offered prayers to the gods. I remember feeling a sense of peace and contentment wash over me as I listened to the soothing chants and watched the flickering flames of the oil lamp. It was in those moments that I first felt a connection to something greater than myself, something that transcended the boundaries of the physical world.
