Morning pages can be a form of meditation from "summary" of The Artist's Way Morning Pages Journal by Julia Cameron

When we sit down to write our morning pages, we are entering a meditative state without even realizing it. The act of putting pen to paper and allowing our thoughts to flow freely is a form of mindfulness in itself. We are not judging or censoring what we write, but simply letting our thoughts spill out onto the page.
